Standard Competence :
• To comprehend the meaning of simple short functional oral text in form of procedure and report to interact in daily context.
Basic Competence :
• To respond the meaning in the simple short functional oral text accurately, fluently, and acceptably to interact in daily context.
Indicator :
• To respond utterance meaning in short oral functional text like short message by answering question given.\
Objective :
In the end of learning process, students are able to :
– Identify meaning in short functional text.
– Identify information which lies in functional text.
Material :
• Short functional text (short message), (advertisement), and (announcement)
• Vocabulary which is relevant to the theme / type of text.
• Verb : come, do, go, etc
• Auxiliary verb : is, am, are, could, would, will, may.
• Personal pronoun
• Tenses

Instructional Steps :
• Pre Activity
– Greeting and praying.
– The teacher checks attendance list.
– The teacher ask about things related to the functional text.
• Whilst Activity
– The teacher explains the communicative purpose and language feature of short functional text which is relevant to the certain topic.
– The teacher plays recorded sound about short functional text.
– The students should listen and notice about vocabulary.
– Students also answer question about content of functional text.
• Post Activity
– The teacher asks the obstacle during the teaching learning process.
– The teacher concludes the learning material.
– The teacher gives the student a homework to write down an example of short functional text.

Scoring system :
• For section I, each correct answer get score 3
• For section II, each correct answer get score 3
• For section III, each correct answer get score 2
• Total maximum score I 2 x 3 = 6
II 3 x 3 = 9
III 5 x 2 = 10
