1. Standard competence
To express the meaning in the short functional text and essay in the from explanation, narrative, news item, recount, hortatory, procedure text in daily life context and to access the knowledge.
2. Basic competence
To express the meaning and the rhetoric step of written essay in the form of explanation, narrative, and hortatory text accurately, fluently, and communicatively in daily life context and to access the knowledge of the text in the form of explanation, narrative and procedure.

Contextual teaching learning (CTL)
4. Indicators
The students are able to :
- Answer the questions related to the procedure text
- write procedure text
- express the generic structure and language features of procedure text
5. Teaching learning process
Pre-activities
- the teacher greets the students
- the teacher checks the students attendance list
- the teacher tries to brainstorm the students with the question relate to the material
While activities
- the teacher tells the students the materials to make Torabika coffee
- the teacher shows the students the practice how to make Torabika coffee
- the teacher asks students to follow her instruction to make Torabika coffee
- the teacher explains about the procedure text
- the teacher gives the worksheet to the students
- the teacher asks students to answer the questions
- the teacher asks students to submit their work
- the teacher gives game to the students
Post-activities
- the teacher reflects the subject which has been discussed

Procedure text
Procedure is a text which tells us how something is accomplished trough a sequence of actions or steps.
Social function : to inform and to direct someone on how to do something
Generic structure : 1. goal (often indicated in the heading)
2. Material (listed in order of use)
3. Method (steps oriented towards achieving the goal)
Language features : 1. using temporal conjunction
2. Using action verb
3. Using simple present tense
Expression used in describing processes;
a. cardinal number
ex; 1 (one), 2 (two), 3(three), 4(four), etc.
b. ordinal number
ex ; 1 (first), 2 (second), 3(three), 4(four), etc.
c. linking words
ex ; then, next, after that, finally, etc.

How to make Torabika Coffee
The materials
- Hot water
- 1 sachet Torabika coffee
- A glass or a cup
- Spoon
Steps:
- first, prepare the materials
- second, put Torabika into the glass
- then, pour hot water into glass
- After that, stir the Torabika coffee and hot water by using spoon until the water’s color become brown.
- Finally, the Torabika coffee is ready to serve.

Technique : written form
Form : objective evaluation (students are asked to answer the questions provided on the worksheet)

Scoring system: if all the answer correct, the maximum score is 100
- 1 question correct = 25
- 2 questions correct = 50
- 3 questions correct = 75
- 4 questions correct = 100
